How much does it cost to rent a Cape Chocolate Fountain?

Our pricing is based on the number of guest you are catering for and the location of your event.
In order for us to give you an accurate, personalised quote, please complete our contact form or call Sheri on 083 431 4896.

Do I have to set-up, disassemble and clean the fountain?

No. Our service includes the on-site delivery and set-up of the fountain, checks before your guests arrive to help
ensure that the chocolate is running smoothly, and after your event, we will collect the fountain.

What dipping items can be used with the fountain?

Some of the most popular dipping items include:

Apple, banana, biscotti, dried fruit, finger biscuits, grape, kiwi fruit, marshmallows, melon, meringues, nougat,
nut clusters, pineapple, pretzels, profiteroles, rice crispy treats, strawberries, wafer biscuits and many many more.

Do I need to provide the dipping items?

Yes. It is up to you or your caterer to provide the dipping items. Upon request, and for an additional charge of only
R15 per person, we can supply the following dipping items with your chocolate fountain hire:

  • Strawberries or any other seasonal fruit

  • Biscotti

  • Marshmallows

  • Meringues or nougat.

What equipment and power source are needed for the chocolate fountain?

Since the fountains weigh between 7-40kg when fully set up, a level sturdy table is essential. If the table is not level
the chocolate will not flow evenly.

Our fountains are electrical appliances and are also not conducive to wind, therefore the chocolate fountain should
ideally be situated indoors or under cover and within reach of an electrical outlet.

What chocolate do you provide:

We use only a high quality, creamy, smooth and delicious, mouth-watering chocolate sourced from a local supplier.

We provide you with a choice of dark, milk or white chocolate, however from our experience, milk chocolate is by far
the most popular.

Can I use any other types of chocolate?

Yes. Upon request we can supply Belgium or Lindt chocolate. Please note that Belgium and Lindt chocolate do not
melt to a consistency suitable for a smooth flow and therefore oil needs to be added.

Is your chocolate Kosher and Halaal?

Yes.

Does the chocolate fountain need to be supervised?

No. Once the chocolate fountain has been set-up and is running, it is not necessary for any further supervision.
For peace of mind, especially during larger events, we are able to provide an on-site Skilled Operator for R80 per hour.

What areas do you serve?

We provide our service to all customers within the greater Cape Town area.

How far in advance do I need to book?

The sooner, the better. Although we do have several fountains available, we tend to get very busy on weekends
and during the Cape Town summer months. It is therefore advisable to book your fountain as far in advance
as possible.

Do I need to pay a deposit and when do I need to settle my account?

Yes. In order to secure your booking, you will need to pay a 50% deposit no later than two weeks prior to your event.
The remaining balance is due before delivery.

How do I make a payment to Cape Chocolate Fountain?

Once your booking has been confirmed, we will provide you with an invoice with our bank details.
It is our preference that all payments are made directly via EFT.
